Maple Lake – Lake Property Owner’s Association, Inc. was established in 1970, to protect Maple Lake and the surrounding natural environment. In September of 2013, the IRS granted the Association 501(c)3 Charitable Organization status. Members strive to preserve the pristine waters of Maple Lake, located in Wright County, Minnesota. Your donations make this possible! Contributions are now fully tax deductable under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

The MLLPOA’s major funding source has been the annual Ice Fishing Contest. The Maple Lake Fishing Derby was originally started by the Maple Lake Jaycees in 1975. February 3rd, 2018 will mark the 43rd annual Maple Lake Ice Fishing Derby, one of the largest and oldest fishing contests in Minnesota, with more than 20,000 entrants and hundreds of prizes. All net proceeds from our fundraising go toward the maintenance and preservation of our Lake.

The Association and Board Members are all volunteers who love the lake. Together with their neighbors, and the visitors who enjoy the water, everyone works hard to keep Maple Lake clean and free from invasive species.
