MAPLE LAKE FISHING DERBY CONTEST RULES
Listen to KRWC 1360 AM for live broadcast of contest and listing of prize drawings. Winner names will also be posted at Derby H.Q.
*Each contestant must purchase at least one ticket and have this ticket available when entering a fish. One (1) ticket per fish.
Both white & blue contest tickets are valid.
*Contest hours are from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The contest wil begin and end with the sound of a starter’s horn. Fish must be entered by 3:00 PM. They must be weighed in immediately when caught and be alive.
*Al Minnesota game laws apply. Remember the Northern Pike slot limits. Northern Pike between 22 & 26″ are not eligible. This is an angling tournament only. No spearing.
*All fishing lines must be out of the water prior to 12 PM. Judges will check your fish houses for compliance.
*Fishing must take place on “Big” Maple Lake. Maintain ample distance between vehicles and fishing structures. At least 50 feet is recommended between vehicles/structures.
*Grand Prize will be presented to the 51st largest Northern Pike by weight, (or the largest Northern Pike if fewer than 51 are caught.) There are also prizes for Bass, Walleye & Pan fish.
*Awards will be presented at 3:30 PM at the Derby H.Q.
*In the event of a tie, the first fish entered is declared the winner.
*The decision of M.L.L.P.O.A. wil be final on all prizes awarded or rulings.
